The Macallan Distillery的点评
点评：When we arrived we were blown away by the building, grounds and the lovely lady who sorted out the booking that I had mistakenly made for the next day. She also told me where I could walk the dog and that was brilliant, both fog and I enjoyed our 3km walk around the estate.
The guy in the bar who served our excellent coffee was lovely also.
Thank you for that, we really appreciated it.
This was a birthday present for my husband who had already toured Balvenie and Ballindalloch.
So the tour… disapointing, sat at a table for a talk, much less whiskey to taste than at the other sisters, he also could not understand why there was only 18 year old whiskeys on offer. My husband rated both other distillery tours much higher especially Balvenie.
But the event that left a very bad taste was we went into the whiskey display to have a quick look on our way to buy a bottle when a woman who was giving a tour loudly and rudely told us to leave , we could come back in in 10 minutes. It was embarrassing, we had also paid our £50 and we weren’t trying to listen into her spiel, in fact my husband was showing me the bottle of the most expensive whiskey… we didn’t get to see it nor did we go and buy any , just left feeling it’s not a place we would recommend.
