A fantastic stay and wine tour
Burrico D`Orada - Lodging & Experiences的点评
点评：Burrico D'Orada is a self-sufficient and sustainable property run by the incredible Rita. We only stayed with Rita for two days on our way from Lisbon to the Algarve but it was a major highlight of our trip.
When we arrived, she let us know that we had been upgraded to a larger house on the property which was closer to the entrance. The house was beautiful and well stocked!
Our first night, Rita kindly booked us a reservation for dinner at a locals spot in Vidigueira. But before dinner we were able to take a dip in the pool near the back of the property. Both mornings she delivered breakfast baskets to our house filled with homegrown and homemade goodies, including bread, cheese, cured meat, yogurt, fruit, jams, desserts, coffee and freshly pressed juice.
We had opted for a one-day tour with Rita during our stay and it was amazing. We started our day by visiting some ancient ruins followed by a wine tasting at a local family winery before heading to a talha wine information centre and then an extensive talha wine tasting. We had a delicious wine paired lunch at a fantastic, modern winery and then enjoyed an afternoon in the quaint town of Moura. We finished the day with an authentic Portuguese dinner in the town of Serpa.
I could not recommend a stay at Burrico D'Orada enough. I wish we had actually stayed longer and opted for two days of tours. Rita is so kind and puts a lot of thought into the experiences she builds for her guests, whether you'd prefer something more focused on food and wine, or history of the region or a bit of both.
