点评：As far as regional art galleries go, Bendigo’s the go. Free entry to the very well curated common gallery; nothing major but well chosen. A charge applies to the exhibition de jour. Hmmm.
Frida Kahlo for $30? Just because it’s in a great art gallery, it’s still not necessarily my type of art so it’s a deafening ‘no’ to Frida. I saw people in town however, away from the gallery, with flowers a la Frida in their hair so just maybe it’s me who’s out of step. But I doubt it.
Parking’s really the only obstacle to be overcome here. Bendigo parking meters are the evil kind. It’s registration number, time and method of payment, colour of eyes, mother’s maiden name...Fortunately a 90-year old lady came to my rescue. Really.
Still, Bendigo Art Gallery is a don't-miss, Frida or not.
