The place to find Maui Gold pineapples when they are hard to find

点评：We had been looking around for a couple of Maui Gold pineapples to take back home with us after our vacation, but none of the stores had them. Apparently a bit of a drought in 2025 summer, led to an earlier end to the season. We weren't sure we'd even find them at the airport, but figured we might still get them at the actual farm. It's a short drive from most of the tourist districts, and we were going to the upcountry anyway, so decided to stop. We did not take the tour (no time), just stopped in at the store, and indeed, they were fully stocked with good looking pineapples, as well as a bunch of other pineapple-themed stuff (as you'd expect). Happy we got our pineapples here as we didn't see them at the airport at all. Note that you don't have to get them specially boxed or anything to go through the airport. When you go into the airport wing for non-Hawaii flights there is an agricultural screening X-ray and pineapples and coconuts are fully allowed with inspection (other agricultural products are not).
I'll note that we bought some other touristy stuff there as well, including some food items, and didn't have any issues. Also note that if you take the tour they apparently give you a free pineapple too.
