点评：I had recieved a gift for my Birthday in October 2024, Drive a Heritage Diesel Train, and I have finally used the voucher.
Communication e mails were clear and concise, we rocked up on time and awaited the adventure.
The Bronze Voucher, means that you share the day with 7 other people, the group were split into two groups of 4, with one Group allocated to the Class 33 loco, and the other 4 the Class 122 DMU.
I began my adventure on the Class 33 loco, following a tour of the workshops and restoration work.
The team of instructors were brilliant and very patient, after two hours we arrived back at Wirksworth station for a buffet lunch. I had informed the Railway of my allergy to Butter, Margarine and Mayo, and was informed this would be passed to the catering team, which it was not. Luckily there was some food that I could eat.
Onto the afternoon it was the Class 122 DMU, excellent instruction and a brilliant driving experience.
The day began at 09.30 and finished at 4.30. You recieve a briefing at 09.30.
The booklet I had stated that a brake van would be attached to the Class 33 and guests could enjoy the day also, this was not the case, a 2 hour wait was a bit excessive for guests.
There was building work taking place and chemical toilets were provided, not the best, surely a roll along unit with power and warm water is a better option.
Despite the odd issue, a brilliant day and driving experience.
