Absolutely disgusting bar staff and ‘management’.

点评：I would say my experience at The Vaults was a mere 0.5 out of 10. The drinks seem reasonably priced ! Shame you can’t buy them without being verbally abused.
Having worked in hospitality and pub settings for many years (FOH) I know the standard is and always will be ‘ customers come first’ especially when they’re returning , paying customers ( such as my friends ) However , the Vaults does not conform to this well known rule.
This was my first time in The Vaults and Upon arrival I greeted the bar staff with a friendly smile and kind mannerisms( as a young lady does ) I asked the lady serving me if she could tell me what shots were available. I was horrified at her response. She physically slapped her hand on the bar and screamed in my face ‘ LAST ORDERS , make your f*cking mind up‘ . She repeatedly stated I needed to hurry. Even though there were many individuals inside with full pints drinking away happily; it was still well within opening time. As I am an empathetic young female (19 yrs old) my reaction was polite and I did not cause a fuss , in hindsight I probably should have done as I was heavily disrespected.
My friends were absolutely disgusted with the way this one elder lady spoke to me so they requested to have a word , in a respectful way and instead she told them to ‘f*ck off ‘ and ‘Get out’. I wanted to speak to a ‘manager’ but instead a Gandalf looking man came up to me and stated that I had made a false allocation as he was present when the event occurred ( which he was not). HE THEN proceeded to get his phone out and take photographs of myself and all my friends with his flash on and told us to never come back ( which I wasn’t planning on doing anyway obviously… imagine lol)
I left with no apologies from the staff and walked off drowning in tears as I knew , if I did this at my workplace I would have been SACKED instantaneously.
Uttoxeter is my hometown , I deserved to be there just as much as anyone else. I question the INSANE lack of management in places like this .
How desperate do you have to be to allow a women like this to work for you ?
If I get a reply to this review - just know I’m genuine and you’ve lost someone who could have been a loyal returning customer. Likewise with all my friends. Your loss.
