点评：Should anyone be interested in visiting the village of Copala without breaking your wallet go to the "Central Camionera" main bus depot in Mazatlan. Beware there are two entrances, one to all bus lines that go to the big cities or bigger towns. If you walk around the other side of the bus station (opposite side) you will find the "small towns" bus station.
It's a small station just have a seat. You don't purchase a ticket. You will pay once you get off the bus once you've reached your destination. There is the "green" and "red" buses that take you to Concordia. These buses leave approx. every 30 minutes to Concordia from the station. From Concordia you can ride an "aurriga" (small red truck with awning) that will take you to Copala for $50 pesos and/or take a taxi for $200 pesos. Make sure you get off on the main boulevard in Concordia, just down the street once you pass "Venegas" Supermarket. If you share the taxi going to the same destination you can split the cost.
Should you want to travel straight to Copala without transferring. There are two buses that will leave you in Copala. This bus leaves @ 12 pm & 3 pm. at the bust depot. Just let the bus driver know you want to get off Copala. This bus is called "la escoba" (the broom). The trip takes about 2-2 1/2 hours to get there. Your best bet is to leave early in the morning. There is a restaurant "Alejandros". The food is pretty good. You must try the famous banana/coconut pie.
Your total one way trip from Mazatlan to Copala should be around $110 pesos.
To return to Mazatlan you will catch an "aurriga" to Concordia. Take a "red" or "green" bus to Mazatlan Central Camionera. One more thing when you arrive at the Mazatlan bus station if you walk towards the beach it's only about 4 blocks away. You can take public bus that goes north/south of the "Malecon" beach boardwalk.
