点评：I booked this only for me and one of my eldest sons, because it was my dream to go there and not all family could go because 2 of our kids are under 12. Now, I think the age limit for the Skellig Michael Island is not in vain. It's really scary out there. The trip to Island and back was very nice, the sea was calm and the captain was very kind and patient, explaining everything and offering ginger biscuits in case someone was seasick ... but was not needed for anyone. We were slowing down when dolphins were close to us and we saw even a small whale. We got lifesaving jackets.
Now on the island the tour guide just made, I would say a short intro about safety up and down ...and then off you go. Going up is not so bad, but coming down - you really have to be careful and really take your time. The stairs are different form and heights and is really dangerous. I fell when going down, but thanks be to God, on my bottom ... could have been with my head down. I wouldn't be able to see my brave kids going up and down in here for sure. I was worried enough for myself.
I really think this place can deserve handrails of any kind that fit for the view or design.
Otherwise, I think is a good idea to be prepared to have a will before going there. You never know.
No puffins in the second half of August. I didn't see even one. 😕
