点评:This is a very long resort of two halves. One half runs in a long sandy strand towards the river which divides it from the next resort, Hospitalet de L'Enfant. The second half is a line of spectacular coves below pine draped cliffs. The beach has a blue flag all along. We discovered on our visit that these cliffs have become a concern and so the council has decided to install pilings all along to strengthen them and remove the road. This has become a major renovation with a new, winding prom, new lighting, new stone seating, new play and gym equipment, new plantings, drains and cul-de-sac roads. As of September 24, this had apparently been going on for a year and looks mainly finished, however the builders have not finished all the steps down into the coves, so these are gated off, and fences cut off access to the prom for walkers and cyclists. Outraged residents now move these barriers every day. Diggers and rollers are still present although we only saw a few builders ambling around. Big holes are still evident and drains are obviously not fixed. Recent heavy rains had gouged channels through the new edgings beyond the paved area. Some newly planted trees were askew or dead, possibly because once grown, they would obscure the lovely views for the apartments opposite. New bins, covered in plastic and taped up by the builders have been ripped open and filled, along with piles of dog bags, bottles and other refuse piled around them, a statement in itself. Businesses along the route are mostly closed and are for rent/sale. Bad planning seems to have devastated the area and upset the locals. If it is ever finished, it will be a lovely resource for everyone. They just need to get on with it and get it right, quick. So maybe avoid the coves area for a year or two until it's all finished. The other end of town, with the long beach is unaffected by all this and has its own charms. I'd recommend staying there, so check the map before you book.
