Cruise Loch Ness的点评
点评：We decided to include a brief cruise on Loch Ness as part of our Highlands road trip in Scotland. We were staying in Ft. William and it's only a 45 minute drive to Ft. Augustus.
Now here is the information that you need to avoid stress and be ready to go for the cruise. The town parking lot is across the canal from the Cruise Loch Ness dock. Sometimes the bridge is up to allow boats to pass through the locks.
The parking lot is pay and display
There's also a public toilet between the parking lot and the petrol station. From there it's literally a two minute walk to the dock.
We were booked on the medium sized boat. It's got a stable catamaran hull, indoor and outdoor seating and, most importantly, a head for your ablutions. I feel sorry for the poor folks in the RIB getting their kidneys hammered with nowhere to go.
The catamaran also has a bar for snacks and beverages. Our tour guide doubles as the bartender.
The pitch was mostly well done and there were some interesting points made about Nessie and whether it exists or not. The loch certainly has its own share of mysteries even without the monster.
The boat was comfortable and warm. Wear at least a set of windproof clothing and make sure that you can secure your hat with a strap or lace. It can be very windy and wet on the water.
The loch itself has a lot of cool history as well and we could tell that our guide enjoys the subject.
I would recommend that you take a tour with CLN. Make sure you ride in one of the catamarans. It's got a warm, dry bar, smooth ride and toilet in the stern.
