Father Christmas was great, and was definitely the best part

点评：We had out first visit on Friday morning,
My son received his invitation 2 days prior and was really amazed by the invitation box and everything inside,
Our slot was at 8am. I didn't think when I bought the tickets that we needed to get there atleast 30 minutes early, so we had to leave the hotel at 7.15 !
We didn't have enough time in the first area as we queued up for a hot chocolate, then we're told it wasn't warm enough so we couldn't get one.
It was freezing cold and we were sad we couldn't get one.
The elves were all really good all day and didn't disappoint.
I dont like the numbers on the floor though. Maybe pictures instead would be better,
The doorway going into the snow was amazing though and really made my son believe.
But this was somewhat spoiled as, an elf said its not a portal and just where he lives.
He knows he doesn't live in the uk. Surely a better story could be given as to how we can jump from one place to the other without magic!
The toy building was a let down too. Yes it was in a big well decorated room, alot of thought has gone into building it, but making one toy isn't enough, my son questioned why did father Christmas invite him to build toys and it was 3 minutes of building one toy.
We loved mother Christmas and decorating the biscuits, but the icing was far too hard to squeeze, my son had the alternative biscuit, which is amazing as he could eat it, but he said it was too hard to bite it so he didn't eat it.
We also didn't hear her story as we were too busy trying to squeeze the icing out.
The last village was good but apart from ice-skating and writing a letter, its just shops and food. More could be done here, the library could be a reading area( I thought it was, silly me)
But if an elf was reading stories, this would be fab,
Maybe more activities in this area would be a good idea.
To me it seemed like money making at every corner, kids want magic and to experience through play. Not buying something that would break in 2 minutes or sit on a tree not to be looked at.
Father Christmas was amazing though.
I only gave 2 pointers to him, and my son loved the thought of him knowing them. And really didn't know how he had got the information from.
I feel he had enough time in there and it wasn't rushed.
But overall, the cost for 4 hours is far too much, yes it looks amazing and we got some fantastic photos, but I wouldn't recommend it to anyone, there's alot of cheaper things to do for Christmas, and my son said,he thought he would get to physically get to do more, as alot of time is walking or watching the elves.
