John Hancock Center的点评
点评：The John Hancock building was completed in 1969. It took 5 years to build it and is an iconic 100-story, 1,128-foot supertall skyscraper located along the Magnificent Mile in Chicago. Now it is also known as the 875 North Michigan Avenue building. Its distinctive exterior diagonal X-bracing steel exoskeleton efficiently resists Chicago's heavy winds from Lake Michigan and can be seen from many angles.
My daughter and I went there to experience the TILT THRILL RIDE, which is a unique moving glass platform that tilts guests outward at a 30-degree angle, suspending them more than 1,000 feet above Michigan Avenue and all the tall skycrapers. We loved it but it was over so fast. It is on the 94th Floor.
We also enjoyed the 360 CHICAGO right after the Tilt and is also on the 94th floor! The observation deck offers sweeping panoramic views spanning Lake Michigan and up to four neighboring states. It was AMAZING!
There is also the CloudBar for signature drinks with seats by the huge windows and a gift shop. You also get to experience fast destination elevators traveling at 1,800 feet per minute as you leave the building. A must see while in Chicago!
