点评：I did the northern highlights southbound tour with Letaka in May and it was an amazing trip. I have done multiple safaris and this ranked up at the top. Botswana felt more "wild" and less crowded than the other parks I have been to. Our guides (Bate and Alex) and camp crew were incredible. This was my first camping safari but it was so comfortable and the food was top notch. We ended up with two guides as one had a family emergency and both were so good at tracking game and positioning the vehicle in the perfect spot for viewing and photography.
I was hoping to see wild dogs as I hadn't seen them on my previous safaris and they certainly delivered. We saw a group hunting in Savuti and then spent two days with them in Mababe. If you are eager to see them I was told the best chances is going between late May to July as that is when they typically den. We spent time at their den, saw two hunts/kills, saw them fight off both hyenas and a crocodile, saw how they communicated with either other, and more. We of course had many other amazing sightings including lions, cheetah, and leopard.
