Clean beach but dangerous waves

点评：El Palmar beach was located out front of the Barcelo Resort and I thought this was one of the better beaches with proximity to my hotel that I have been at. The beach is clean for a tourist beach, and I found the sand to be smooth for a nice morning walk barefoot.
I didn’t go any deeper into the ocean than knee high, due to illness. The waves are strong, and there is an undercurrent, so you need to be careful and obey the beach warning flags. Just to tell you how dangerous the waves are at this beach; within an hour, I witnessed two rescues. One young woman and her friends ran into the ocean, then minutes later she was stumbling to get out as a wave crashed on top causing her to hit her head on the beach and was taken to the hospital for a concussion. An hour later, a traumatized young girl was rescued by a lifeguard and carried into the resort.
