点评:I'm so glad we opted to go to the El Jem Amphitheatre. I was in Rome at the colosseum just two weeks before we visited this amiptheatre, and the comparison made the visit more special. It only cost 12 dinar (£3) each to get in, and the ticket also included entry to the nearby museum. We hired a car for the day and the driver took us to the amiptheatre and then came to pick us up afterwards to take us to the museum.
The amphitheatre itself is in amazing condition, better so than the colosseum in Rome. It was massive as well, and you're able to access every floor on one side as well as the underground area where the behind the scenes preparation was carried out. I was very surprised, again compared to visiting the colosseum, at the lack of any staff in the amphitheatre. There was also information boards in every language, but not many, and it was a bit confusing to navigate. However, we preferred being left to our own devices and exploring.
I'd highly recommend a trip here, it was a fantastic visit and I really enjoyed having a look around. Make sure it's on your list if you're visiting Tunisia!
