点评：My husband and I visited this farm—a new spot he chose for my annual apple-cider donut craving, part of our tradition of traveling from Long Island to different farms each year. Unfortunately, what should have been a fun day turned into a deeply uncomfortable and unwelcoming experience.
From the moment we approached the counter, the staff’s behavior toward us felt blatantly discriminatory. As a brown-skinned couple, the message was unmistakable. One older employee looked at me with clear disdain before retreating to the back to speak with another staff member, who then peeked out at us as if we were out of place. The cashier, a younger woman, dragged out her interaction with the couple ahead of us to avoid acknowledging us, and when she finally did, her tone was curt, reluctant, and anything but friendly.
It’s a shame that such a beautiful part of upstate New York is overshadowed by attitudes that feel stuck in the 1950s and 60s, and even more disheartening to see the younger generation mirroring the same narrow-minded behavior.
To top it off, the apple-cider donuts didn’t redeem the visit, they were tiny, overpriced, and absolutely not worth the mistreatment. Overall, this location offered very little beyond an unpleasant and discouraging experience. Not worth the trip and would not recommend.
