点评：One of my favourite tours/trips I’ve ever taken. If you’re looking for a tour guide in the Omo valley, Jinka or around Arba Minch, you must contact Melak.
He’s a great person who really looks out for his clients, he consistently made sure I had plenty of food and water, a secure place to sleep etc. His driver is great as well and they use a big beast of a car to travel across the bumpy terrain, not some old jeep.
As far as the tour itself goes, it depends on the days, sometimes the tribes are inaccessible due to heavy rainfall or something, but because there are so many tribes to visit, it’s easy enough to change the plan to see an equally spectacular tribe. I also loved all the little towns we went to along the way. The people of Ethiopia are really welcoming and even just having a coffee with locals is enjoyable. Melak is also quick to jump in to translate if you want to chat with the tribal people.
It really is a fantastic opportunity, so please don’t hesitate and book with Melak. I’ll soon be posting my videos of the trip on my YouTube channel: Pad-EnRoute
