点评：Popped in on the way home from a trip and rather wished we hadn’t. The ordering process seemed like a well-oiled machine, but unfortunately the food was very disappointing.
I can certainly resonate with other reviews comparing the food to school dinners. My burger arrived in a stale roll with a very thick slice of raw onion, no tomato and anaemic chips. The side salad looked promising, but there was no dressing and, when I asked, I was told they don’t offer any. We also had the pie special of the day, which was tasty but unfortunately arrived cold.
I was also disappointed by the farm shop itself. I had expected a proper local farm shop showcasing produce from the surrounding area and supporting local businesses. Instead, much of what was on offer appeared to be mass-produced, brought-in goods, with pallets of stock waiting to be unpacked.
Overall, this felt much more like a large retail operation aimed at passing trade than the kind of genuine local farm shop we were expecting. Sadly, we wouldn’t stop here again unless we were absolutely desperate for the loo.
