Château de Montélimar的点评
点评：I recommend this chateau if you want to see a "real medieval castle" not the usual French palace, though those are beautiful and we enjoyed them too. It dates, with modifications, from the 11th and 12th centuries and has a curtain wall, battlements, keep, main hall and chapel. As three adults we quite enjoyed the visit and the walk along the battlements. If you have children there are so many activities for them: archery, stick pony rides, games, etc.
We were there during the heat waves and their website was very good at explaining that while they were open certain activities would only run in the mornings. One of the best pro-active notifications we got during that period! The town of Montélimar (which can be accessed by stairs from where you enter the chateau from the park) is very atmospheric too and we had a lovely lunch in their main square.
