点评:It was late afternoon on Wednesday 23rd July and we were in Posada to visit Castello dela Fava.
We parked up at the base of the hill in the free car park along the Padre Giovanni Giuseppe Coco memorial and the wall art.
From there we walked up winding our way through the steep cobbled streets and climbing the numerous steps up to the Castle.
There was more parking further up the hill but we would have missed out on seeing all of the delightful old village.
We made our way through the village, at times not sure which way to go, it is a labyrinth of narrow alleys and small piazzas, heading upwards was always a good option.
They alleyways are lined with a mixture of buildings, some built with old stones, some brightly painted and other with individual features. There were a couple of bars, restaurants and shops housed in wonderful old buildings.
We also saw two old Churches along the way, Chiesa del Rosario and Chiesa B.V. Soccorso, both were shut at the time of our visit. Despite being shut they still added to the charm of the old Village. We also passed the village's library.
Walking through the village and visiting the Castle we felt as if we were in some historic time capsule with some modern day trappings.
