SABBIONETA: POST SIGNS TO HELP VISITORS FIND THEIR WAY AROUND TOWN

点评：C'mon, SABBIONETA, post a few signs in several languages in front of the important sites! And more signs to help pedestrians navigate your town.
This is a problem I encountered literally EVERYWHERE in Italy. It feels as if everybody assumes visitors know the place as well as natives and don't need to be told where to go and how to get there.
Tourists are not a novelty in Italy, yet most places don't seem to care to help them navigate around the varoius towns. It's a mystery to me why nobody invests in this, most basic, service.
Yeah yeah yeah, I know, everyone has a cell phone with google maps etc, but for once I don't want a dull screen get between me and the experience of finding my way around towns guided by the serendipity of unexpected sights, angles, little quirky details. If you plunge your head into a headphone, you will miss 80% of the real urban fabric, the things that make the individual sites worth visiting.
