点评:Wow, what a disappointment this was. First, it's a good 1/2 hour drive outside of Hilo to find the place. The 'visitor center' is really just a store selling the nuts. THe only good thing I'll say is they give free samples. Beyond this, don't bother. The only 'tour' is a self-guided walk around a grove of maybe 1/2 dozen native trees--and the walk takes maybe 5 minutes. There is a film that shows the process for harvesting and canning, but the quality looks like it was produced on VHS in the 1980s. Across from the visitor center is a warehouse that is an actual processing factory but all you can do is look through the windows (and the day we went they weren't working). As for the gift shop, the prices are no better than a local grocery store. They also only had like 4 varieties of the nuts plus some chocolate covered options. No bulk discounts for buying, say 6 cans of nuts vs. 1. Overall it was a waste of time.
