点评:This place deserves a lot more credit than other reviews are giving it!
We were expecting a quick drop in and go based on reviews. We spent about an hour looking over the property. There was plenty to do. As we drove down the long driveway off the main road, we passed by rows and rows of macadamia trees. Once at the visitor center parking lot, we first went to the production building across from the visitor center. It was the weekend so there wasn't any machines running. There production area rather small, all they need I suppose, and you can see everything you need to through the windows. There are history board and information on the walls as you walk window to window.
We then explored the gift shop. We were greeted with samples right away. All their items they produce are here for purchase. I'm sure you can find some of their items cheaper elsewhere but it's not likely going to be that different from what my savvy eyes saw (I compared a few things to Costco and other stores like ABC). Outside there's some covered tables to watch a very short video about the place on and the production process.
We then wondered the grounds where they have a ton of different plants with signs saying what they are. Bananas, bread fruit tree, starfruit tree, probably 30+ plants.
We bought some macadamias and the kids got strawberry cheesecake ice cream cups out of their freezer, which they said was the best they've ever had!
I highly recommend a stop to see the place!
