Crashing Waves, Camels & A 19th Century Lighthouse
Lighthouse Beach的点评
点评：Lighthouse Beach is not as central as the popular Town Beach or Flynns Beach and is located further out of the main town.
However it has two very special features which make it unique.
Firstly, you can do a camel rides here on the mornings. Its quite a sight, seeing these huge beasts with their humped backs and long dipping necks, walking along the sand with a slow, swaying stride.
The other special thing here is the walk up to the 19th century lighthouse at the top of the headland. The squat, white lighthouse is perfectly preserved and from here, you have a sweeping view in all directions.
It's easiest to drive to Lighthouse Beach and there is plenty of free parking. It's about 10 minutes drive from Town beach but you can also walk. The Coastal Walking Trail starts from the break wall near Town Beach and finishes at the lighthouse. Its a 9km walk but if you have the time and inclination, its very beautiful.
