A lovely experience, if a little steep in both steps and price!

点评：Situated in a lovely, scenic place, the old lighthouse was an interesting place to visit. If I remember rightly, there are 169 steps to reach the top but the views are really lovely when you (finally!) get there! There are a few floors so you can have a little rest in between the climbs, and read up on the information boards they have there. The last stairs to the final floor containing the light has very steep steps and they tell you to walk back down backwards as you would on a ladder. It sounds worse than it is though! I've got foot drop and have to wear a brace and I found it ok. They have a handrail to hold too. It's a bit tight on the stairs if someone is also using them but there weren't many people so it wasn't a problem. It cost my family of 2 adults, a 16 year old and 2 children £20 which is a small price to pay for an activity, but I thought a little steep considering that activity only took about half an hour if that! But saying that, it was nice there, I enjoyed the view and my children can now say they've climbed a lighthouse! The staff were also friendly too. The area it's situated in is a walked paradise too, so you could take advantage of the free car park and take a wonder over to the sea or even pop to the little pub a short walk from the lighthouse!
