BITING CATTLE FLIES every single month from May through October. They'll chase you right into the water, biting.

点评：BITING FLIES abound every month from May through October. They may be there in April, but we didn't try going until May, went every month for a day trip that was ruined each and every time by extreme biting cattle flies.
Swarmed in the water - they got on my neck and had to be pried off under water. Swarmed on the beach. Each time, we see a family or two still there and wonder - how are they not being bit? OH, we find, they ARE.
On the way off the beach headed back to the car, swatting and swatting and dropping beach bag, throwing hat off because the flies got under the brim and were biting my neck and face, we walk by a family sitting there. They're covered in biting flies, just ignoring them - whaaaaat? These bites *hurt*, and the flies swarm every part of your body.
The most beautiful park on the planet is destroyed by flies. Our dream beaches are gone. Because of CATTLE FLIES.
