点评：We have been touring with Annie for many years. The reason we keep returning has been the personality of her tours. We meet her friends, the artisans in the towns, the shopkeepers, the baristas,--as well as learn unique stories.. Everyone knows Annie, so we are fortunate enough to feel the warmth, the life, the joy that she and her family have created in this beautiful town.
Throughout the year Annie has so inspired me that I just published the novel MOON AND STARS OVER ASSISI about the women who loved St. Francis. Much of the history I needed to write this book, I learned from her. The scope of her knowledge is unmatched. Mille grazie, Annie.
Annie's tour of the Basilica is personal as she talks about Assisi's earthquake, the restorations, the artwork, her daily communion with it all. . Any of her tours of Umbria will give you the same depth and understanding of the people and places.
Try a tour of the recently opened archaeological site in Spello as well as a wine tasting at the enooteca and visit to an artist's studio. Her trip to Deruta includes an incredible church experience and then a farm to table meal with Giuseppa who is happy to share the family business and her wisdom. Of course Peppa is my favorite, . . . So little time, so much to see. .
