点评:We really enjoyed our 2-3 hours here. The creative skills needed to realise this pentagonal structure leave one in awe of the Italians of that day. The grand staircase has to be one highlight and then there are the wall paintings telling of the Farnese family achievements. Some of the rather direct translation into English were a bit clunky, making them complex to read. But in early October we were two of about 8 visitors on site which was good. Plea to of space and time to contemplate what it must have been like in the 17th century. Thought the €10 entry charge very fare.
There is a car park if you drive to the left just past it, but it was so quiet we had easy free street parking. The gardens are huge and are behind and above the palace. Much work was going on. We could see plenty of flowers which would make April or May a good time to visit.
