Most Inventive History Museum I've Seen in 70 Years!

点评：Geniuses had a hand in creating this museum that encompasses an archaeological dig (an actual 17th century burial ground) in addition to displays about the history and architecture of Montreal by combining old waterfront buildings underground with a portion of the old sewer system. Start with the 20" film in French or English, which is IMAX quality in scale and inventiveness. Then explore eras from the Indigenous Peoples to the present day. Although self-guided, the staff is extremely knowledgeable and will answer any question and even go around with groups giving expanded information. A highlight is a video board that displays rotating 3-D images of aspects of many facets of the main building and its surrounds. Beware that although there is elevator access, it's hard to use it because the complex is such a labyrinth of staircases up and down everywhere. The only disappointment was the gift store with high priced generic goods rather than items that are specific to the history of Montreal like a dedicated puzzle, etc.
