点评:This is a nice 34 hectare rural style park in Montreal named after the first Canadian and head for a responsible government, Sir Louis-hippolyte La Fontaine (1807-64). The parc is a nice green space in the city with opportunity for leisure and recreational pursuits. You'll find sports fields, children's playground areas, plenty of walking trails, cycling lanes, picnic space, grassy lawns and mature trees providing plenty of shade and habitat for birdlife.
There are two ponds linked by manmade waterfall as well as an open-air venue for outdoor performances. You'll find a handful of statues scattered around the park including a monument to Sir Louis-hippolyte La Fontaine in the southwest corner and loads of squirrels throughout. We really liked Parc La Fontaine, finding it a nice rural area to get some early morning walking in during our recent visit to Montreal.
