点评：Musée des beaux-arts de Montréal (Museum of Fine Arts also known as MMFA) The museum is located along Sherbrooke St West and is open from 10am to 5pm daily with extended hours until 9pm on Wednesdays. Entry fee is CND$31 per adult. You can make reservations online or purchase at the ticketing upon arrival.
The museum is spaced over 5-6 floors and includes exhibitions in the building across Sherbrooke St accessible by way of lower level passageway. Permanent exhibitions include antiquity from around the world while artworks focus primarily on Quebec and Canadian artworks. There are temporary exhibitions held throughout the year. You can learn about these through the museum website in advance of visiting. There is a cafe, gift shop and locker facility within.
We visited recently and enjoyed our two hours browsing the permanent collections along with the Berthe Weill, Art Dealer of the Parisian avant-garde temporary exhibition (until 7 Sept 25). Galleries seem to be nicely curated. There is a natural flow to the museum visit experience and crowds seemed to be spaced nicely throughout.
