Refreshing completely unique experience in Costa rica

点评：We did the full day Cano Negro Package. Renato took us on a couple fantastic tours and lunch was also very good.Renato was really knowledgeable not just about the wildlife in the area but also about the area itself which provided great context. He was very accommodating and flexible, in part I imagine because we were the only ones on the trip. We went well longer than what we had paid him for and were able to work around the rain.
We saw a lot of great birds(which is most of why we went), reptiles, sloths, monkeys, and even saw a crocodile! Basically a completely different system from what we saw in Arenal and a ton of new wildlife we hadn't seen yet.
Renato's ability to hear a bird and tell us why we should want to see it - and then help us find it gave the trip so much more value than it could have possible if we went alone. We saw an amazing mating display all that he recognized by sound alone which allowed us to sneak up and get a great view of it! He was very patient in making sure that we actually were able to see it and kept track of all the birds and sent us the list afterward.
Cruising through the river on the boat and spotting awesome wildlife was a real highlight of the trip. A nice break from lugging around binoculars and cameras and water in the heat, craning my neck to find birds in the rainforests.
Overall a great great experience and well worth the money and the trip.
