点评：I visited this place in November with my children to create some items for family members for Christmas. The actual experience of painting was good, the staff member was very good and helpful.
I was told the items would take around 5-7 days (if I recall) but wasn't contacted for nearly 3 weeks which was very tight and was literally the day before we left the area for Christmas. Firstly, I went to collect about 10.30 as Google said it was open, I get there and it was not. I couldn't get through on the phone so messaged the number on the website. They replied saying they were open from 11. Then I went back to collect at 4pm, to be told they were just about to close (Google said 6pm - clearly Google is incorrect and needs changing). I collected my items and was told there were no bags, so had to walk them back home stopping at the high street to buy a bag because they were slipping in the tissue paper. The amount of items that were waiting for collection, I am astonished they did not have any bags, absolutely ridiculous.
As soon as I get home, I have a look to see what they look like before wrapping them, to notice all of the writing had disappeared. I message them to ask where the writing was as assumed this was something they didn't know about. They replied that they had an issue with the pens from the supplier and they were sorry. So they knew and just allowed me to collect without so much of a mention. I replied saying this was not acceptable, it wasn't the items we created so what could they do about this. They offered for us to repaint 1 mug (we created 3 plus other items) or we could try putting the writing back on and reglazing but there was a 50% chance they would smash, which obviously is not a suitable option. The person I was speaking to said this was all they could offer as they were not the owner, so I said I wanted to speak to the owner. And they said they would contact me when the owner was next available. This was 21st December.
I chased up on 30th December and again on the 9th January, only to be completely ignored.
I am absolutely devastated that I spent £70 on items for them not to be what we painted. I was told during the first round of communication that "the mug is intact and painted how it was painted and just the writing has come off" the mug is not how it was painted at all. There has been complete lack of communication and willingness to resolve this issue. It is their responsibility to ensure the equipment and materials work and should not be at my expense.
I was really hoping I would get a response but I have been ignored. I am really upset and had to give the gifts unfinished with the marks where the writing was (picture below) which looks terrible.
I would absolutely avoid this place. They will not help if there are any errors on THEIR part. No willingness to make things better, I have honestly never have an experience like it. Avoid at all costs.
