点评:We decided to go to Heritage Park in Calgary AB and were completely surprised at how much fun we had and how big this park really is. There is a great museum of automobiles and gas pumps at the entrance that we all reminisced about. We rode a train that runs around the 64-acre park and while it doesn't hit all the stops on each trip, it's a fun ride. There is a nice area that has rides for kids and a lot of history to be seen in the recreated frontier town. From native Teepees to a replica of an old fort to a “public house” that you can buy some suds in. Everyone in the park will tell you about their specific shop or area and when and how it was started or founded. There is a tractor that pulls a wagon to get you to the town from the entrance, it’s an uphill walk to get there so I recommend it whole-heartedly. There is a horse drawn wagon that also runs around the area that is fun and nostalgic. The blacksmith shop was a treat and delivered a lot of information in a very short time. Most of the volunteers and employees are dressed in period garb and were awesome and very friendly. As a side note, there were plenty of washrooms in the park to wipe off the dust and get a drink of water (which is sometimes lacking in other parks). We really enjoyed Heritage Park, and while it wasn’t a specific destination on our trip it was definitely a delightful surprise.
