Trip of a lifetime; definitely crystal bucket list material

点评：Trip of a life time; we went 2 yrs ago during Covid and were blown away by how incredible it was. This year we took my dad, 85, and my sister who wasn’t all that interested initially;
We have so many pictures and memories of our memories
Each day brought new experiences and Highlights including
Ziwa rhino sanctuary ; saw 7 rhinos who just happened to congregate
Hike to see top of Murchison Falls with mist blasting at us
Game drives and river safaris to see lions, elephants, buffalo, leopards, hippos, crocodiles and other wildlife; night safaris to see animals in nocturnal setting
Other highlights include Chimpanzee trek - mild to moderate grade
$250 permit for 1 hr to see habituated family in the wild
Gorilla trek- ($800 permit ) can be quite daunting so we hired a team of 12 porters to carry my dad up the mountain in a makeshift stretcher with seat, “African Helicopter” for $300; 25 usd per porter. Well worth it given the 1+ hr up a steep mountain
My dad loved it;
The region in Bwindi Impenetrable forest is gorgeous; the people are so authentic;
Gorilla consultants planned everything; Isaac was our guide; great driver kept us safe; very considerate of tourists needs; better human being; my dad is recommending this trip to all his senior friends.
My sister was blown away; she wants to go back with her adult children. Enough said!
