点评：People can check my other reviews on google — I rarely leave negative ones, but my experience with Swami Vivekanand Yoga and Meditation School, Rishikesh (May–Oct 2025) was so poor that I need to warn others.
I first enquired about Reiki training in May 2025. I paid a 50 USD deposit on 19 May. The very next day the owner, Mohan Chandra, pressured me to pay the full balance of 215 USD, claiming he needed urgent money for his father’s “bran opresion” (brain operation). I told him I was wary about scams and didn’t want to pay the balance until the services were rendered. He reassured me, saying “I am also very trusting parson” and sent me ID and hospital papers. Against my better judgment I paid.
In July I cancelled due to health reasons and was promised a refund in September. It never came. Instead, I received excuse after excuse: rain, forex issues, “another operation,” and even fake hospital records that turned out to be for an 8-year-old child. He kept saying, “I will refund, I don’t like to take money without work,” but each date passed with nothing returned.
As of 5 October 2025, I have received zero refund. This school took my money, made emotional pleas, and broke every promise.
Be extremely cautious about paying anything upfront here. My experience was manipulative, dishonest, and deeply disappointing.
