The Vollereaux Experience: picnic in the vineyard

点评：We finished our short holiday in the Champagne region with a visit of Vollereaux Champagne and a picnic in the vineyard (organised by Vollereaux and you can book that via “The Vollereaux Experience” in their site).
The tour of the cellars and the explanation was interesting and I learned a few new things (I have heard the explanation at several houses already and I think I could even do the explanation myself already).
The tasting of 3 champagnes was wonderful. They give you a decent size tasting glass so you can experience the aroma's in your nose and you get a good tasting quantity.
The picnic in the vineyard was great. Behind the Vollereaux buildings they put tables and benches and you get a picnic basket with with plates, cutlery, glasses and a tablecloth. The food itself was half a baguette and a wonderfull assortment of 3 differtent cheeses and 4 different sorts of meats together with some pickled gurkin and onion and butter. Besides the food you get a bottle of water and off course a bottle of champagne.
After the meal there is a small dessert too.
You even get a Vollereaux summer hat... which looks nice on the pictures
