A Ghana and Togo experience to remember!

点评：I recently traveled with Uprise Travel on a tour that was meant to be Ghana, Togo, and Benin. However,due to recent governmental changes in Togo our travel visas were not honored and we paid for multiple visas for Togo and Benin for more reason. Which meant I lost $250 on visas. Also the Ghana Embassy in the U.S. messed up our multiple entry visas which led to us not being able to enter Ghana again after going to Togo. Uprise really stepped up and got us back into Ghana. At that point the trip only had one hiccup of placing us in one crappy hotel which was rectified immediately. The experiences that were pulled together on the tour were a
Amazing. Our tour guide Johnny was amazing and added so many additional cultural experiences along the way that were not on our tour such as the palm oil farm, and a tribal festival. We absolutely loved the Mona Monkeys, the Wili Waterfalls, and the naming ceremony in Kumasi. The hotels were ok, but horrible internet in all of the places we stayed with the exception of the Volta hotel and the Accra hotel. Overall the trip was amazing and I could not have picked a better company to have used for the experience had. I'm still a little disappointed we did not get to Benin, but that wasn't the company's fault. The last thing I will say is to seek an option without the meals included if you are not big eaters as we weren't, amd my son has severe food allergies which they were very good about picking places to accommodate that, but the price of the trip was so reasonable that it really didn't matter for us. Overall Astrid, Chris,Habib, Musah,and Johnny especially were amazing to work with! So much knowledge and adventure on their tours. Highly recommend!
