点评：My partner and I thought Urban Axes Boston would be a fun, different way to ring in the New Year near South Boston. The website showed plenty of open slots, so we booked a 7 p.m. session expecting a smooth evening. Instead, the experience was underwhelming from the start.
When we arrived around 6:40 p.m., the greeting from the front desk was cold and impersonal. After rushing through waivers, we learned we’d be sharing our lane with another group—something never mentioned on the website. The coach had to split attention between both groups, explaining rules, juggling scoring, and frequently mixing up names. That setup alone killed any sense of flow or excitement.
And here’s the kicker: you’re paying for a one-hour session, but with all the instructions, waiting for turns, and swapping with another group, you only get about 30 minutes of actual throwing time. For the price, that feels pretty unfair.
The venue itself is big and has the potential to be a great spot for group fun, but the staff’s lack of enthusiasm and the disorganized structure make the experience feel flat. Urban Axes Boston could be a blast—but they need to improve communication, atmosphere, and value for what guests actually get.
