点评:My wife and I recently took a trip on the Stony Point railway, a first-time experience for us, and it turned out to be a memorable day.
On our way back, we decided to hop off at Baxter and take a short 10-minute walk to Treand Winery for lunch.
We arrived in the late afternoon, just an hour before the kitchen was due to close, and were a little worried we might feel rushed. However, our concerns disappeared the moment we were greeted by the warm and welcoming waitress, who also happens to be the Matriarch of this family-run winery. She immediately made us feel at ease and recommended their estate-grown wine to accompany our meal.
The lunch was nothing short of exceptional! We enjoyed a perfectly fluffy cheese soufflé, succulent Australian prawns, and one of the most tender steaks I’ve had in years.
The charm of this family-run business and the genuine hospitality we received made the experience even more special. We couldn’t have felt more welcome, and we’re already looking forward to coming back for another visit.
