One trick pony unless going for market
格兰佛岛的点评
点评：Lovely little island that offers mainly food. The local market was quite nice, many little shops and ample food options beyond fast food. The best chowder is hidden at Tony’s restaurant however (all deep fried standard American food except delicious chowder at par with New England experience!). There three main streets, walkable but I’d avoid driving there. Hard to access for those with reduced mobility, bus stop is about 300m from main gates.
There is a huge indoor kids playground with arcades, claw machines and several toy stores. Yes, they do sell kids binoculars (very pricey due to high demand of whale watching) but honestly not worth purchase as x2-x4 one can see with naked eye.
Most tourist come for whale watching or fishing charter. Prince of whales offered a great experience. Highly recommend. (See review). Lees donuts is a chain and offered high variety of delicious fresh donuts. Worth the detour 1/2-full day activity. But hard to justify visiting twice unless going to open market for specialty foods
