点评:My husband and I decided to visit the Capilano Suspension Bridge after spending time at Grouse Mountain. They’re very close to each other and just a short bus ride apart. It was rainy and a bit chilly, and even though there were quite a few people, I can only imagine how packed it must get during the summer vacation season.
The site is very well maintained. At the beginning, there's a short introduction about the history of the bridge, which I found interesting. It seems they also offer group talks throughout the day, I didn’t join any, but I imagine they'd be great for families with kids.
Capilano is much more than just the famous suspension bridge. Yes, the bridge itself is lots of fun to walk across and offers beautiful views, but what I personally enjoyed the most was the treetops adventure, a series of walkways among the trees. It was a lot of fun, with beautiful nature all around, fun and interesting facts posted along the way, and friendly staff throughout the site. It really felt like a close-to-nature experience.
There’s a spot where you can grab a delicious hot chocolate or a snack. While the walk through the park isn’t short, there are plenty of places to sit, rest, and take in the scenery if you need a break. The towering trees, owls, and birds made it feel magical. If you have binoculars, definitely bring them!
