Peaceful moment above the sea – a hidden gem on Alicudi

点评：I visited the Chiesa di San Bartolo with my friend during our stay on Alicudi, and it was one of the most peaceful and beautiful spots we found on the island. The walk up was a bit of a climb (lots of steps!), but we took our time, laughed, and enjoyed the incredible views along the way.
When we reached the church, we were both quiet for a while – not because we had to be, but because the place just felt so calm and sacred. The view from up there is breathtaking, and the simplicity of the white church against the blue sky is something I’ll never forget.
Even though the church was closed when we arrived, it didn’t matter. We sat on the steps, shared some fruit, and just took it all in. It felt like time had stopped – just me, my best friend, and the sea.
Definitely a special place on a very special island.
