点评：Egypt has so much to offer - beautiful scenery, friendly people, rich culture, and, of course, plenty of history.
I wish I could write a positive review. I booked a tour with Egypt Eye Tour ; on the bright side, the car seemed brand new, and the guide , she explained much of the history as we visited the sites.
However. Multiple times, I had to pay more than the price I was quoted by Egypt Eye Tour:
* The tour itself was listed on the website as a certain amount. When I reached out to Egypt Eye Tour , they instead claimed the tour price was 25% higher. This comes across as deceptive - I would recommend Egypt Eye tour stay consistent with their website.
* Egypt Eye Tour indicated I would pay 540 EGP for entry to the pyramids area. Ok. On the tour, when we went to the ticket booth, I was asked to also pay for car parking, an additional 20 EGP. This, too, comes across as deceptive - I would recommend Egypt Eye Tour consistently report 560 EGP as the expected amount.
Worse, after the tour of the Pyramids and the Sphinx, the tour guide"Ranya", took us on a detour "to see how papyrus is made." What followed was a prolonged hustle where the papyrus shop (3 pyramids Papyrus Museum) tried to sell me overpriced artwork I didn't want to buy. The papyrus shop further lied by claiming purchases made there were duty-free. I recommend people considering Egypt eye tour first search "papyrus scam" and "3 pyramids Papyrus Museum" online - forewarned is forearmed.
To the owner of Egypt Eye tour " Sam": Please understand that the main reason I booked a tour guide to keep the hustlers and scammers away. By instead taking tourists directly to a hustle, you are driving away the very tourism you depend on. Please stop.
