Perfect tour, most beautiful view ever and happy horses

点评：Best trip ever! Don’t hesitate and book it! We did the horseback riding tour and it was such a wonderful experience. Yoany, Sarah and Mario are wonderful people that made us feel safe and comfortable even as unexperienced riders. The tour starts with an easy ride through the valley, along many different types of fields, plants, animals (we saw so many baby horses, cows and pigs) and little houses of the farmers. Yoany explained us everything we wanted to know, he knows a lot about agriculture and nature. The ride on top of the mountain is pretty steep and because it had been raining the day before, it was muddy as well. So the horses seemed to struggle to get on top of the mountain and we were a little scared that they might stumble and fall. But Yoany and Mario are very experienced, they’ve been doing it their whole lifes, and they explained to us that the horses are mountain horses, used to muddy and steep walks and that there had never been a serious accident. The horses made it on top of the mountain without any issues and the view was so much worth all the struggles! On top we pressed our own sugar cane juice and drank a mojito while enjoying the overwhelming view over the valley. Because we were a little scared on our way to the top, Yoany offered us to skip the muddy part on horseback and instead take a walk through the forest on the way back. After the five minute walk we could get back on the horses and continued the peaceful ride home. The horses listen soo well, I’ve never seen more reliable horses in my life. They seemed happy and well looked after. After the horseride Yoany showed us the tobacco plantation right next to his house and his neighbor did a demonstration of the cigar rolling. Yoany explained every step of the cigar production starting from planting the seeds until smoking the product. We were offered a cigar each and even a shot of rum and it felt like hanging out with friends. Not for a second we had the impression that they tried to sell us something we didn’t want. In total, the tour took almost 6 hours, even though it was supposed to last 4. We really enjoyed every minute of the tour and would do it exactly the same again. Thank you again Yoany, Sarah and Mario for the wonderful day with you!
Some tips: You can take your backpack or purse with you, it can be buckled up the saddle. However, don’t bring anything you don’t want get muddy. Our bags, shirts, pants (better to not wear shorts!) and especially our shoes were really really muddy. Don’t forget sunscreen and maybe a hat.
