Quality Beer, (Dog) Friendly Atmosphere and a variety of visiting food vendors

点评：We're spoilt having the brewery on our doorstep. We visit most weekends as part of our dog walk and the new(ish) premises are much more suitable for a brew tap than the old cramped site, more space, tables and toilets which means Ed now opens on a Friday/Saturday rather than once a month. In the summer you can sit outside and the recent addition of heaters, means a trip to the brewery is as comfortable in the winter now. A selection of at least 16 different beers at any 1 time which you can sample in "flights" if you want to try before you commit (these are 3 1/3 pint offerings), with Ed (the very friendly owner) trying different things on a regular basis especially seasonal offerings (the Chocolate Orange Porter and Black Forest Gateaux Porter were stunning for Christmas/Winter Ales).
The brewery offers a variety of other alcoholic/non-alcoholic drinks for the non-beer drinker and has recently started to sell its own Gin. The beer is supplemented by visiting food vendors which range from Pizza, Burgers, Thai, Nepalese, Indian, Japanese, Greek to name but a few (check the website before visiting), these vary in price, quality and popularity but should be judged independently of the brewery
Yes the beer is at the top end pricewise but the chilled, family friendly atmosphere is worth it and the dog-friendly nature means there are always a number of man's best friend present. It can be busy or quiet depending on when you visit but there's always a welcome
A previous reviewer appears to have preferred the Gardeners Arms which is a few hundred yards away, sorry but the beer can't compete on quality even if it is cheaper and the atmosphere in there itself at times later in the day is worth a swerve.
