We took the advice from the visitors center within the ZAG airport instead of hiring Uber Rides we took a taxi costed us

After we picked up our luggages we were so excited to see a visitor center within ZAG airport and walked in seeking advice about transportation.
We asked questions about which is better whether taking Uber or airport Taxi to our hotel.
She advised us it is better to use the Taxi because the Uber Driver can circle around and charge us more because most of them are new drivers
So I took her advice and went out to the airport Taxi.
We arrived ZAG airport around 8:35am.
Our plane is the only aircraft arrived at the moment so very quickly we got out and collected all our luggages
No one is waiting for Airport Taxi except us. It is not busy at all.
We asked the cost to our hotel the driver said 39 Euros.
We accepted and when we arrived at our hotel,
I was curious and asked the hotel staff about the usual cost commuting from the airport and she answered normally ranging from 18 to 25 Euros. She also mentioned that local people usually use Uber or Bolt for budget travel.
I felt like an idiot and so stupid didn’t suspect the visitor center worker’s advice and take her words without doubt.
I quickly ran a request a Uber ride from my hotel to Airport check on my phone then
This is how I know that I got gyp because it only costs 18 Euros on my Uber App
So I would like to advise everyone that lean from my mistake, use Uber Or Bolt when you’re in Croatia, Be Smart!
