点评：The Wayanad tea museum is an amazing one that has been constructed amongst the actual tea plantation of the company. Being a part of the RPG group, which is a conglomerate in itself, this factory is nestled between the hills, which are entirely covered in tea plantations, all owned by the group.
The entry fee to the museum is INR 50 per person and can be paid in cash or via any digital mode. Once inside, the museum is made up of Ground + 2 storeys. The ground floor has posters on the wall showcasing the history of tea plantations in India and the surrounding regions. It also showcases the story of how the tea plantation began. The infographics cover details about the world's major tea-producing nations, the tea estates in India, the total tea exported from India, and the region-wise split.
There are also actual machines and parts on display on the ground floor used in tea production. This includes sifters, water holders, pulverizers, mechanical jacks, etc. The first floor is completely covered in various machines that have been kept. There are also information boards behind each machine that show the actual use of the same. This includes mechanical cutters, mechanical harvesters, flat shears, driers, heaters, withering instruments, etc. There is also an antique collection of old clocks and computers from the bygone era at one corner.
The second floor consists mainly of the cafe, where you can enjoy some refreshing drinks made of tea or coffee. We had the double coffee cold chocolate, and it was terrific. The taste was delicious, and the combination of coffee and chocolate was worth INR 80. Thus, overall, the museum gives some great information on the history of tea production and when Wayanad is a must-visit tourist place.
