Isle of Man Bus and Rail的点评
点评：The bus services are in essence very good with frequent departures, late evening and night services and modern vehicles, but the timetable is terrible, the worst I’ve ever come across in 40 years of extensive travelling on public transport in the UK. It’s really difficult even for an experienced traveller to follow. The buses do appear on bustimes.org but for some reason not on Google Maps journey planner and there’s no Bus Vannin planner either.
There is a confusing array of different numbered buses that make up any one service on key routes and these are all detailed in different timetables. Each timetable is in itself littered with “not schooldays” and suchlike with all the different days of the week mix muddled up too.
The “bus station” in Douglas is frankly an embarrassment as there’s just some rusty shelters on Lord Street with no live information. Most stops do have a shelter and sign, and they do at least have written timetables in most shelters, which is a plus.
