Start of the Rose Bay - Watsons Bay Walking Trail

点评：Rose Bay is not my favourite beach. There are just so many other swimming beaches in Sydney that this would never be a first choice, or even make the top 10.
However it is the starting point for the Rose Bay - Watsons Bay walking trail so I sometimes find myself here.
As a beach to walk along, it is very scenic, with the city skyline and Harbour Bridge in the distance. At one end of the beach, there’s a large rock shelf with a whole series of rock pools and interesting rock formations.
Sea planes take off nearby and the Rose Bay ferry pulls out from the wharf around the corner.
However I would be wary of swimming here as the water quality is not always great. It’s a harbour beach, rather than a surf beach and gets a lot of stormwater runoff and sometimes sewerage overflow particularly after heavy rain. It's worth noting that it is one of the few dog-friendly beaches around so it attracts a lot of pooches.
